Il mondo di ONE PIECE è talmente vasto e complesso che permette la formulazione di teorie quotidianamente. I fan ad ogni capitolo si lanciano in elucubrazioni di vario tipo e a volte fanno centro mentre altre no. E nei giorni scorsi è emersa in rete una teoria che potrebbe cambiare per sempre il modo in cui vediamo l'imperatore Shanks il rosso.
Il fan MysticJohn ha elaborato una teoria e l'ha postata su Reddit in cui rivela la vera identità di Shanks il Rosso. L'imperatore è una figura presente in ONE PIECE sin dal primo capitolo e qualcuno potrebbe averla data per scontata, ma potrebbe anche nascondere segreti impensabili. Partiamo dalla conclusione: secondo il fan, Shanks è il figlio di Rocks D. Xebec.
Una direzione completamente opposta quindi rispetto ai fan che pensano a Barbanera come figlio di colui che voleva diventare il re del mondo. Shanks ha 39 anni mentre l'incidente di God Valley in cui perse la vita Rocks D. Xebec ci fu 38 anni fa. Così come Barbanera quindi, che ha 40 anni, anche Shanks era già vivo in occasione di quella grande battaglia.
La teoria continua affermando che Roger ha preso il piccolo di Rocks una volta che i pirati nemici furono sconfitti dato che non voleva lasciarsi un bambino senza colpe abbandonato al proprio destino. La stessa mentalità che fu poi adottata da Garp quando crebbe Ace. Roger non poteva affidare il bambino al governo o ai marine dato che l'avrebbero ucciso seduta stante.
Il fan di ONE PIECE passa poi a elencare le caratteristiche fisiche di Shanks e si sofferma in particolare sul colore dei suoi capelli che per ora hanno un colore unico nel mondo di ONE PIECE. Si passa poi al flashback con Oden, dove Roger prende in braccio la piccola Hiyori affermando che era da tanto tempo che non prendeva in braccio un bambino. Secondo il fan, il riferimento è a quando prese in braccio per la prima volta Shanks durante la battaglia.
Ciò aggiungerebbe un nuovo simbolismo allo scontro tra Shanks e Barbanera, dove il primo sarebbe il figlio biologico di Rocks mentre il secondo vorrebbe diventarne l'erede spirituale. Cosa ne pensate di questa teoria di ONE PIECE? Shanks potrebbe davvero essere il figlio di Rocks D. Xebec? Il fan fa però notare che anche Buggy potrebbe esserlo.CITAZIONEShanks' True Identity

-Couldn't give him to the marines,they would kill him. Decided it would be wiser if he goes with Roger rather than Garp,perhaps because Shanks' red hair is identifiable as related to Rocks thus making it harder to hide him. Shanks' hair coloring is unique in that it is the only one in the entire manga to be filled with grayscale, unique even compared to other red haired characters in the series(such as Rockstar)
-When Roger lifts up newborn Hiyori he says "it's been a while since I last held a baby" - I believe this refers to Shanks.
-When Whitebeard sees Shanks he says "The wound I received from 'that guy' aches whenever I look at your face" - While its not unthinkable that he's talking about Roger,it is more likely that he is talking about Rocks seeing as Roger and Whitebeard had a friendly rivalry.
-Would add more to the symbolism of Shanks Vs Blackbeard. Shanks is Rock's biological son whereas Blackbeard is the one trying to succeed him spiritually, what with the way he is recruiting crew members,even going to Pirates Island,name of his ship(Saber of Xebec),etc
